Gamma & Nana Cares was born from a simple belief: every person — regardless of their circumstances — deserves dignity, opportunity, and community.
Our Story
Gamma & Nana Cares was founded in Los Angeles with roots in the community it serves. What started as a grassroots effort to meet immediate needs — food, clothing, a listening ear — grew into a full-service nonprofit touching hundreds of lives each year.
The name says it all. 'Gamma' and 'Nana' are what children call their grandmothers — the women who show up, who sacrifice, who love without condition. That spirit of unconditional care is the foundation of everything we do.
Over more than a decade, we have expanded our programs to serve youth and adolescents, unhoused individuals, seniors, and families in crisis. From job training and mental health resources to our nationally recognized ROP career readiness program, we meet people where they are and walk with them toward something better.

Clayton founded Gamma & Nana Cares with a vision rooted in community love and personal experience. He leads the organization's strategy, partnerships, and day-to-day operations with unwavering dedication.
